Bacteriostatic-water Research Peptides

4.7(7)

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water for injection preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, the standard diluent for reconstituting lyophilised research peptides. The benzyl alcohol component inhibits microbial growth, extending solution stability after reconstitution from approximately 24–48 hours (with plain sterile water) to 4–6 weeks at 2–8°C.

Volume choice depends on the target peptide concentration and protocol duration: 3mL vials suit single-peptide protocols at lower concentration; 10mL vials suit higher-volume reconstitution, multi-peptide research, or multi-week protocols where larger working volumes are required. RetaLABS stocks bacteriostatic water in 3mL and 10mL vials.

For detailed reconstitution procedures including bevel angle, dissolution technique, storage conditions, and per-peptide stability guidance, see the Peptide Reconstitution and Storage Guide.
