Mots-c Research Peptides

4.7(13)

MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded within the mitochondrial 12S rRNA region, one of the first identified mitochondrially-derived peptides (MDPs). Research has characterised MOTS-c as an AMPK activator with documented effects on insulin sensitivity, glucose homeostasis, and exercise-mimetic metabolic adaptation. Circulating MOTS-c levels decline with chronological age, supporting research interest in age-related metabolic decline and protective signalling pathways.

Active research areas include ageing models, metabolic syndrome research, exercise physiology, adipose tissue regulation, and mitochondrial-nuclear cross-talk investigation. RetaLABS stocks research-grade MOTS-c in 10mg and 40mg vials.

For mechanistic detail and research data, see the MOTS-c Research Guide. For reconstitution protocols, see the Peptide Reconstitution Guide.
